Swinging Readers

This looks like a posed photo. It is not. We looked into our back yard not long after moving to a new house and we saw our girls sitting in the swing reading. We often caught our girls reading. We always tried to be sure they had plenty to read. I think it paid off. They have all been excellent students. Smart kids, if I do say so myself.

AHAHAHA! I'd totally forgotten two things about this picture: One - that we'd done that. Two - that the Adams' backyard ever looked like that. I only remembered it after they fixed it up for the wedding. It was much better after that.

I miss this house...

I miss having hours to read and nothing else to worry about. I don't remember that moment, aside from the picture, and I can't even figure out how I got up there! But, honestly, I'd do it again if I could. =)

And I miss that house, too. I will always be sad that my kids will never be able to play on the same floor I played on, or run around the same yard I spent many happy hours in. But time moves on and so must we...

I miss that house, too. The yard was huge with plenty of room for kids, pets, and whatever else wandered into the yard. But...I don't miss the amount of time it took to clean it, take care of it, and the amount of money it cost to repair it. The house was 28 years old when we sold it and needed a bit of updating.
